BSc BVSc PhD MRCVS
I graduated from the School of Veterinary Science at The University of Queensland, Australia, in 2012 after a previous career as a research scientist in marine biology and molecular genetics.
I am particularly excited about starting work at Sandhole vets, which has a great reputation for patient and client care. I was one of the first students to graduate from university without harmful animal use, and putting patient welfare first is the core of my ethos.
I have special interests in soft tissue surgery and canine geriatric medicine. I am particularly interested in canine behaviour sparked by owning a fear-aggressive Australian cattle dog for 15 years! I enjoy working with nervous dogs in practice have previously worked as an animal behaviour trainer for the RSPCA in Queensland for several years.
When not at work, I enjoy cycling, rock climbing and sketching, but these activities are currently taking a back seat to care for my three year old daughter, Lauren, and my 16 year old cairn terrier Avie.
