(Registered Veterinary Nurse) RVN
After completing a BSc (Hons) in Animal Management, I found myself in the role of an elephant keeper for four years. This developed my passion for the welfare of animals and a desire to pursue veterinary nursing. Whilst training to become a veterinary nurse, I became a qualified canine hydro therapist, where I loved seeing patients comfort and quality of life improve. This is a huge motivation for me when nursing.
After becoming an RVN in 2017, I became a locum veterinary nurse. I worked in many first opinion and referral practices, after which I was lucky enough to find a permanent role at Sandhole Vets!
I have since been working my way through completing modules in the nursing care of birds, reptiles, small mammals and wildlife, leading towards achieving a diploma in exotic species, as this is where my real passion lies! Additionally, to this, I am working on a certificate in emergency and critical care.
