(Registered Veterinary Nurse) RVN
After completing a BSc(Hons) in Animal Management, I found myself in the role of an elephant keeper. This developed my passion for the welfare of animals and a desire to pursue veterinary nursing.
While training to become a veterinary nurse, I became a qualified canine hydrotherapist, where I loved seeing patients comfort and quality of life improve. This is a huge motivation for me when nursing.
After becoming an RVN in 2017, I became a locum veterinary nurse. I worked in many first opinion and referral practices, after which I was lucky enough to find a permanent role at Sandhole Vets!
I have since been studying modules in the nursing care of birds, reptiles, small mammals and wildlife, leading to achieving the DipVNZS as this is where my real passion lies!
I also achieved the CertVNECC for nursing of emergency and critical care patients, and now enjoy putting those courses to good use.
