Veterinary Surgeon

Since a young age, animals have always played an important role in Pedro's day-to-day life and imagination. Once he started studying biology at school, medicine was the obvious career path for him and, naturally, combining these two passions was the way forward.

After graduating in Veterinary Science at the University of Lisbon in 2019, Pedro pursued his interest in Exotic Animal Medicine and took advantage of opportunities in this area, such as internships at the Artis Zoo in Amsterdam and wildlife rehabilitation centers in Costa Rica. However, to grow as a veterinarian, he chose to invest in Small Animal Medicine and worked in clinical and hospital settings from 2020 to 2022. During this period, he developed his skills in Diagnostic Imaging and Internal Medicine, with a particular interest in endocrinology.

At the end of 2022, Pedro embarked on his biggest professional challenge yet and made the decision to bring his veterinary skills to the UK. With this, Pedro hopes to grow even further as a veterinary surgeon and progress further in his veterinary career in his areas of interest: Exotics Medicine, Small Animal Medicine and Surgery and Diagnostic Imaging.
